Kann dieses Buch nicht weiter empfehlen. Jedes Kapitel zieht die Hauptaussage elendig in die Länge. Es reicht eigentlich in jedem Kapitel die erste und letzte Seite zu lesen.Verstehe den Hype um dieses Buch nicht.

Nachdem ich lange Zeit mit mir gerungen hatte, ob ich dieses Buch nun wirklich kaufen soll - größtenteils da mir der Titel des Buches nicht ganz lag - schaffte ich mir dieses Lesewerk vor einigen Wochen an und war sofort begeistert!Das Lesen ist sehr angenehm, da die vielen kleinen Anekdoten den Text aufbrechen und gleich Praxisbeispiele liefern. Unter den Beispielen sind auch viele historische Persönlichkeiten (Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, usw.) vertreten.Viele Vorschläge, die in diesem Buch vorgestellt werden, sind sehr selbsterklärend, aber es hilft wirklich sich diese - eigentlich natürlichen - Vorgehensweisen noch einmal vor Augen zu führen und diese dann vielleicht etwas bewusster zu steuern.

I think I need to read this classic book to improve handling with people.My opinion is that Mr. Carnegie is a good writer and very skillful lecturer.For me he acts in a practical and straightforward manner in writing this book.The writer and his reader have to be ones who value practicality objects of making friends and dealing with people.Mr. Carnegie shares his extremely wide knowledge and experience with teaching and helping wide range of people in tens years of practice in the USA.I saw his good heart and great love for all people he has met and thought.By reading this book one can see plain truths and slogans but they work.I believe one who is interested on the subject has to remember and apply them.

Sicherlich eines der besten Bücher zu zwischenmenschlichen Dingen überhaupt.Einfache Prinzipien die angewandt sofort Ergebnisse liefern.Simple Tips, Beispiele und Regeln die jeder kennen sollte... echte Augenöffner.Bei manchen Büchern fragt man sich schon warum sie nicht als Pflichtlektüre in der Schule angeboten werden. Zweifelsohne gehört auch dieses Buch dazu.Auch zum gelegentlichen nachschlagen liegt es bei mir immer griffbereit. Das ist das nächste was ich jedem nach dem Kauf und dem Lesen empfehle. Gelegentliches Nachschlagen.

Der Titel ist etwas irreführend. Es klingt wie ein Selbsthilfebuch für sozial schwierige Menschen, dabei geht es vielmehr darum die Kommunikation zwischen Menschen positiver zu gestalten und regt dazu an gängige Kommunikationsmuster, die vielleicht eher Missmut hervorrufen, zu überdenken und ins Gegenteil zu kehren. Man braucht etwas um rein zukommen und einige Beispiele sind trotz Neuerungsversuchen etwas aus der Zeit, aber das Buch ist schließlich auch über 30 Jahre alt. Insgesamt ein wirklich gutes Buch, das meine Art zu Denken und ein wenig auch meine Art zu Kommunizieren verändert hat, und über das ich auch Monate später noch hin und wieder nachdenke.

Ich muss zugeben ich war eher skeptisch ob ich etwas aus dem Buch lernen kann, was ich noch nicht weiß. Diese Skepsis was völlig unangemessen den ich habe jetzt nach dem 5. Kapitel bereits mehr gelernt als in anderen Büchern nach 300 Seiten. Es stimmt das es sich um Prinzipien handelt die wir irgendwo bereits kennen, jedoch wird schnell deutlich wie wenige Menschen diese tatsächlich anwenden.Daher für alle eine klare Kaufempfehlung ganz egal warum man es liest, es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Man kann diese Buch wirklich als Klassiker sehen, welches man einmal gelesen haben muss. Viele Tipps, wie man alltäglich mit Menschen umgeht. Die Beispiele sind zwar auf eine andere Zeit ausgelegt, wirken aber heute und wahrscheinlich in Zukunft immer noch genau so aus. Mit einigen Beispielen kann man gut nachvollziehen, was der Autor damit ausdrücken will. Nach diesem Buch ist man, was den Umgang mit Menschen angeht, auf jeden Fall einige Schritte weiter.

Antonin Dvorak (1841 - 1904) Background Antonin Dvorak was born in Nelahozeves, Bohemia, in 1841, son of a butcher. Early experiments After a brief period in a band led by Karel Komsak, he became principal viola in the Prague Provisional Theatre Orchestra in 1862. He held this post for seven years, sometimes playing under the direction of the composer Smetana. He also earned money by giving music lessons, and it was while he was teaching the young actress Josefina Cermakova in 1865 that he composed the song cycle Cypress Trees. Consisting of 18 songs, it is a remarkable and often highly progressive work, perhaps inspired by his love for Josefina. He also wrote his First Symphony, subtitled 'The Bells of Zlonice', in the same year. The influence of Richard Wagner is apparent in Dvorak's early works, particularly his first opera Alfred (1870), and the E minor string quartet (1868-69). He first gained wider recognition with the cantata Hymnus (1873), and the Third Symphony (1873), the latter winning the Austrian State Stipendium in 1875. His success as a composer allowed him to give up orchestral playing and marry Anna Cermakova, Josefina's younger sister. Mature conservatism By the end of the 1870s, Dvorak's early radicalism had been moderated by the influence of Johannes Brahms, champion of German musical conservatism and arch-enemy of Wagner. Brahms was on the jury of the Austrian Stipendium, and recommended Dvorak's music to the publisher Simrock. Works such as the Fifth Symphony (1875) reflect his new-found interest in Brahmsian Classicism, and the Slavonic Dances (1878) show the emergence of his Czech nationalist style which was to become his most distinctive characteristic. In 1884, Dvorak visited England for the first time, where he conducted his Stabat Mater, which was a great success. He composed several works for choral societies in Birmingham and Leeds, including the cantata The Spectre's Bride (1885), the oratorio St Ludmila (1886), and the Requiem (1891). He also wrote his Seventh (1885) and Eighth (188) Symphonies for the Royal Philharmonic Society. Academic recognition Dvorak was becoming an internationally respected composer. He received an honorary doctorate from Cambridge University in 1891, and in the same year was appointed professor of composition at the Prague Conservatory. In 1892, he moved to America to become director of the recently founded National Conservatorium of Music in New York. Although he spent much of his time there teaching, he managed to write some of his most popular music - most notably the Ninth Symphony, 'From the New World', his most famous work. It contains many highly memorable American folksong-inspired melodies, held together in a tight, well-argued symphonic structure. Other works from this period include the String Quartet in F major 'The American' (1893), the Biblical Songs (1894), and the Cello Concerto (1895). In 1895, Dvorak returned to his beloved Czechoslovakia and resumed teaching at the Prague Conservatory, of which he became director in 1901. His last works include the underrated operas The Devil and Kate (1899) and Rusalka (1900). He died in Prague, 1904. Dvorak's distinctive style combines Czechoslovakian and American folk influences with strongly Germanic elements - particularly Brahmsian structure and Wagnerian harmony. He was a master of orchestration, who made full use of the capabilities of the standard 19th-century orchestra, and his symphonies are among the finest examples of the genre. Czech composers of the 20th-century, particularly Suk and Janacek, owe much to Dvorak's pioneering nationalism.

Elizabeth Dunn is an associate professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. At age twenty-six, she was featured as one of the “rising stars” across all of academia by the Chronicle of Higher Education.Michael Norton is an associate professor of marketing at the Harvard Business School. His research has twice been featured in The New York Times Magazine Year in Ideas issue. In 2012, he was selected for Wired magazine’s Smart List as one of “50 People Who Will Change the World.”
